Ugenya MCA Launches Bursary Drive for Needy Students

A new bursary initiative aims to keep hundreds of students from Ugenya ward in school this term.

An MCA in Ugenya constituency has unveiled a bursary drive targeting needy students across the ward, pledging to clear fee balances for hundreds of learners before the new term begins.

Speaking on Barober Breakfast, the ward representative said the fund will prioritise orphans, children from single-parent households and students enrolled in national and county schools.

Residents welcomed the move but urged transparency in the disbursement process, calling for a public list of beneficiaries. The MCA promised a community oversight committee would be formed within two weeks.
